accepting new clients
In practice since 2008, I have worked with diverse individuals a to support healing, connection, and growth. I have a Master’s Degree in Transpersonal Counselling Psychology, and post-graduate training in the treatment of trauma and anti-oppressive practice. I am particularly interested in therapy that is experiential, curious, compassionate and creative. I enjoy working with neurodivergent, queer and culturally diverse people.
As an educator, I have taught university psychology courses, lead community workshops and clinical training in mindfulness-based approaches to healing, and mentored dozens of therapists as a clinical supervisor.
My work as a mindfulness-based psychotherapist is grounded in my own personal practice. A practitioner of meditation since 1999 and a mindfulness educator since 2004, I am a graduate of a Buddhist seminary and meditation instructor training program. A longtime resident of a mindfulness retreat centre, I have had the opportunity to study with renowned teachers, and have spent many months in meditation retreat. I am familiar with diverse wisdom traditions, and I address mindfulness, meaning, and spirituality in flexible, nonsectarian terms.
I believe that having diverse interests and being active in my community strengthens my work as a psychotherapist. I have been a practicing visual artist for nearly 20 years. A commitment to ongoing learning means that I continue to explore an interdisciplinary dialogue at the intersections of psychology, philosophy, art, science and social justice.
As the owner and clinical director of mindfulness for life, I aim to cultivate a creative environment and inclusive culture of learning among our team. Read more about my therapy practice and other projects on my personal website.
I am registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, registration #003448.
