People are more than their problems…
At heart, I have always been interested in what it means to be human. The human condition is profound, as are the ways we search for a more peaceful and connected life, rich with meaning.
My first life as an English-literature major led me to a passion for stories of all kinds, especially where stories and people come together to create meaning. I am curious about the stories we tell about ourselves, the ones we hold dear and the ones that shape our identities.
My practice is informed by my own experiences, including my understanding of the Black and Afro-Caribbean communities, and ability to honour different traditions and ways of knowing. I am passionate about culture, identity and the multi-faceted nature of experience.
Therapy with me is centred on an understanding that people are more than their problems, and that we have an inherent capacity to create space for possibility and change. I work from this belief to foster excitement, creativity and compassion in our lives and our relationships with others.
