kind therapy, effective therapy.

mindfulness for life

The essence of mindfulness
is learning to relate to yourself
with kindness.

In a war against yourself
there is no way to win.

This is a different strategy.

kind therapy

Mindfulness involves connecting to here-and-now experience, and being willing to open to things as they are. This is where new possibilities can be found and new experiences can happen.

Instead of automatic reactions of judgment, control or avoidance, we try to slow down, get curious, bring warmth – and let ourselves reconnect with who we are. In this way it is possible to feel at home in our own bodies and our minds – even in times of pain and confusion.

recognize and disengage from destructive thoughts and habits

accept yourself, by making friends your own emotions, thoughts, and feelings

be more open and build genuine relationships

take action in line with your values, to connect with the things that matter to you.

it's all welcome

People with diverse experiences and identities are welcome here. We love to work with creatives, queer and trans people, neurodivergent people, frontline workers, and anyone at a crossroads in life.

Like all humans you may be experiencing anxiety, depression, anger, grief, trauma or abuse, low self-esteem, loneliness or alienation, a life transition or relationship struggle.

We hold space to honour racialized trauma, ecological despair, and other kinds of pain it can be difficult to hold alone.

what to expect in therapy

Psychotherapy research shows that it’s important to find a therapist who will *get* you.

Get started in therapy with a free introductory consultation with a therapist. This call will help you get a feel for whether you think the therapist is someone you connect with. We will take 10-20 minutes to briefly go over what’s bringing you to therapy, and you can ask any questions you have before getting started.
